The AOL browser (http://www.techspot.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=15994) technology that is apparently going to be available some time soon will include a desktop search technology (http://www.eweek.com/article2/0,1759,1675417,00.asp), it has been revealed. The technology will be an integrated feature that will allow users to search for files including documents in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, as well as PDF, HTML, WordPerfect, rich text and plain text files. Web searching is of course integrated too. The AOL browser itself will feature tabbed browsing, a pop-up blocker and toolbar buttons that produce thumbnails of Web pages when users hover over them.
