installing sata

I am trying to install a seagate sata drive on a new epox 8krai mobo with winxp. winxp gets to set up then does not find a hard drive so quits, I have even loaded disc wizard from seagate & I cannot find any drivers at seagate's or epox's sites. My old ata 100 drive works fine. Any ideas how to get it working?.
