After upgrading my computer, I had enough spare parts to make a second computer. It has:
Athlon XP 1800+
768 Mb RAM
Pinnacle Video Capture Card
GeForce 4 MX 64Mb Graphics Card
I want to use it soley for video editing so I can free up my new computer (some of the renders take 8 - 10 hours). Always wanting to try something new, I was wondering what version of Linux (free or commercial) or any other alternative OS would be best for video editing. I'm all ears if you have any suggestions for video editing software to run on Linux (or other OS). Thanks! :grinthumb
I have heard positive reactions to Kino under Linux.
Don't know anything about it, though.

Thanks for the link zephead, lots of choices. I guess I'll try out a couple and see which one works the best. :grinthumb
