Hi, i am having problems with my dvd burner. For some reason when i try to burn a dvd with DvdXcopy, after it burns it to the hard drive i put a cd it, it automatically goes to complete. Now i have burned over 100 dvds before this started to happen. I have sony dvd r- and i checked the disk. Nothing is on there. So i tried Dvd Shrink. Burned it to the hard drive then tried to burn with nero says it cant failed at 2.4x. This is the first time i have ever seen this happen. IF you could help me out it would be appreciated much.

Sounds like the drive is failing. Can you burn regular cd's?

I want to say uninstall and then reinstall DVD Xcopy but you may not be able to activate it. But burning 100 discs has probably worn the drive out. Ive only had one optical drive out of about 12 last more than a year especially with heavy use.

Hi Folks,

Being new here, I'm not evn sure I'm in the right place to post my problem.
I've just purchased a new DVD burner. I encrypted my first disk with no problems, but when it came to shrinking it the time meter indicated that it would take anywhere between thirteen and twenty hours! puke:
I'm running the home edition of XP.
Can someone please tell me what's going on?
