i need some help, my pc i got new has been getting extreemly loud and hot,
i have:
P4 3.0 ghtz (Stock cpu fan)
80gp seagate hd
ATI 256 Graphics

when i turn on my pc right away i can hear a loud noise comming from the CPU fan, this is a stock one, but my other PC exact same parts as this one is relativly quiet. does anyone have ideas on how to make my pc more quiet? thanks alot :giddy:

ouch, that Stock Heatsink is prob killing your comp. Try a aftermarket one, i might be a little loud, but my "prescot" at idol runs about 48 - 50 C which is realy good considering stock is about high 50s, (i hope) anyway, try to make a wind tunnel through your computer, like a fan in the front and a fan in the back at LEAST. Gl man!

if you're sure its the cpu fan then the best thing to do is to replace it. I had the same problem except it was my graphics card.
