Name That Movie Game...

I'm getting a trite bit bored with the Word Association thingy myself, so I figured I would offer a new little time-waster/post-generator for all of us to enjoy. Write a couple of lines from a movie, and see if your peers can guess the name of the movie. Whoever guesses correctly gets to put up the next movie-quote for everyone to guess. Seeing I have decided to start this wonderful game, I will enter my movie quote first.

"Be careful of what you shoot at...some things in here don't react well to bullets."

There it is. You shouldn't have too much trouble with it. If a quote seems impossible to guess, then please give a few hints until somebody guesses.

Might as well start out easy, right?

That quote was from The Hunt For Red October :D

OK OK OK!

Here's mine...

"You're everyone's problem. That's because every time you go up in the air, you're unsafe. I don't like you because you're dangerous."

And there is a pressing matter to notice. It seems that some people may use google to find the quotes

BTW, great idea Newfie :grinthumb

Anybody who uses Google to CHEAT is a CHEATER! What fun is there to do that? I give my wife credit for the idea. She saw it on one of her craft Internet boards. Thanks, Deanne!

Yes, yes indeed, but don't you know what movie my quote is from Goofy??? C'mon ;)

Yes I do agree. Googlers and any other cheats will be laughed at/humiliated/embarassed/frowned upon or whatever punishment we shall seek ;)

No more posting without the answer! :p

I didn't want to post a quote in case my guess was wrong.

"Admiral.....there be whales here!"

Probably another easy one. Hope evrybody else starts to get in on this.

That quote is from "Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home"

And no I didn't use Google, I watched it the other day.

"Every man dies. Not every man really lives. "

Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back? It's gotta be one of the Kevin Smith films.

That could literally be from dozens upon dozens of movies. We need film quotes that would be recognizable as being unique to that one film. Like "Play it again, Sam." or "Show me the money." Try to make the quote a little more specific. ;)

One of the worst lines I have heard in any film.
"Snow dad is better than no dad"

And,

The first is from "Jack Frost"

The second is wrong, I think. I think you mean "The slow blade penetrates the sheild..." Which was from Dune.

Arris

Corrrect.... Jack Frost...
Its a line so bad its hard to forget :(

And I mixed up the scene with the slow bullet and the training with the comment "The slow blade penetrates the shield".

Well done.

Yes indeed it was Excalibur.

Morgana (Arthur's sister) says this to Merlin. She then sleeps with Arthur (urgH!) and gives birth to Mordred.

I'm sure someone out there knows this one. Once you hear it, you don't forget it.

"I'll take you to the bank......to the blood bank."
Isn't that from one of Steven Segal's movies? Fire down below or something? They're all the same anyway ;-)

I don't know the one before that, I'll have to think about that one.

Here are a few of my own, some are easier than others.
1.) "If you were any other man, I would kill you where you stand!!"
2.) "Beneath this calm cool exterior lies the heart of a true scientist" (this is also my personal motto ;-))
3.) "I need a man with a tatoo on his d**k! Have I got the right man?"
"By a strange coincidence you do, sir...."

I'll be back with the answers if you can't get em ;- ) And there's plenty more where those came from.

That isn't from Generations. Worf spoke those words to Picard in First Contact when Picard called Worf a coward, as the Borg were tearing through the Enterprise-E.

Very good gentlemen, anyone know the scientist quote?
Here are a few others;

1.) "You don't have to fight the shark, to fight for the wave..."
2.) "This chick is toast!"
3.) "If I were you, and you were me, I'd use your body to get to the top. You can't stop me no matter who you are!"

Dammit. You're right. I feel really stupid right now. I am gonna chalk the mistake up to the lack of caffeine in my system.
