How do you export passwords from Mozilla?

I am installing Mozilla on my laptop and do not wish to manually enter passwords and usernames from my desktop over to my laptop. There are too many.

Try copying signons.txt from your user profile. Looks as though this should do the trick.

I just have a default profile.

I'm assuming Firefox when you say Mozilla. C:\Documents and settings\%user%\Appliction Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\*******.default\signons.txt
is the path to mine.
If its plain Mozilla - I don't have it installed. Hope this may help a little.

The passwords are encrypted (duh!) and you can't just copy them over.

Right they are in Mozilla, but not apparently in Firefox.
Tedster if you are with Firefox you'll also need to copy key3.db.

nope- don't use firefox, mozilla only.

still haven't been able to find the file.

too much work to use that little block of instruction. I guess I'll have to manually xport them by hand.

Wish there was an export function for passwords in mozilla.
