getting windows\system32\autoexec.NT error when trying to install VB6

error says c:\windows\system32\autoexec.NT. the system file is not suitable for running MSDOS and Windows applications

I get this error when trying to load visual basic 6 and other programs, whats wrong?

Most likely you got infected by some virus/malware and your antivirus/adware scanner kindly deleted the autoexec.nt file. Extract the original file from your XP CD to the location shown.

if you haven't sorted this out yet you should search for autoexec.NT any if it isn't in windows\system32 put it in it and it will work it did for me so should for you
