sound driver for ibm a31

can someone pls help me!i reformatted my ibm A31 laptop system and ever since i could not get the sound driver.when i checked on the board i found a crystal(cs4624-cq)chip which i guess is for the soud.but i really need help to get my laptop play audio cds again.thanks
