Hi,
I've just bought a new laptop, it's an Advent 7079. The computer is very impressive and does everything i need it to apart from word processing.

When i open microsoft word i can use it for a varying amounts of time before the whole thing will just fall over and blue screen of death the laptop, dumping all the physical memory. I have tried different versions of the Ati drivers and none seem to help, and have also tried 2 different versions of windows and 2 different versions of office, none of which have solved the problem.

Windows and VPU recover are telling me this is a graphics driver error and mention ATI so it must be the graphics card?

Does anyone know how i can fix this as it's getting annoying now!

Thanks for your time, much appreciated

Look at the troubleshooting page in advanced display properties. Try disabling combined writes and reducing the video acceleration.
