ATI recently comeout with catalyst 5.9..any defects of this driver?

just want to make sure whether the new driver for ATI VGA Card is stabile or lame. currently using 5.7 catalyst. being attracted by catalyst 5.8 (nice interface) but 5.8 got a ton of problems like crashing while gaming...so stick to 5.7 for time being.

but anyone can give me an info of the 5.9 driver?

My Laptop will not take the ATI flavour Cat drivers, however I tend to use the ones from omegadrivers.net.

The 5.9 ATI cat drivers cannot display 1200x800 native on some 15.4" screens hence I can't use them. However the 5.8's can. All told they work fine on my Laptop. Can even play Half life2 & Battlefield2 at decent frame rates. Had 5.6 before I upgraded to 5.8 made a fair difference.
