I NEED HELP, i have been talking w/ EA support and they can't seem to help me with my problem and i talked to my computer manufactor and they said nothing seems to be wrong w/ my computer it has to be the software. I got the sims 2 last year and just got a new laptop and installed it. Everytime i go to run the game it comes up with a SIms 2 error message saying we're sorry the sims 2 ran into some problems and will be closing down. Then it says about sending an error report to microsoft. I have tried everything from updating my directx, checked my video and sound cards and their up to tee and i can't figure out what wrong! SOMEONE PLEASE PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!

Hello and welcome to Techspot.

It could just be that your Sims2 cd is damaged in some way, and therefore isn`t installing properly.

What is the exact error message you are getting?
