I recently sent back my radeon 9800 pro as it became so hot the fan melted from the heatsink!! I cant afford to buy a new video card just yet so when they send me a new one will it be a good idea to fit an NV silencer from arctic cooling??

I know the 9800 pro is terrible for overheating unfortunately i didnt when i bought it!! so i dont want to risk it again!!

therefore will the NV silencer make a significant difference to the factory heatsink which comes fitted on the card?

cheers

My 9800 would get so hot I couldnt touch it, literally, and it would overheat the motherboard. Everything would lock up minutes into gaming. After putting on the VGA Silencer the card would only get warm , even after I overclocked it.
