ok, problem with halo pc, when i start it up this message appears:

A problem occured initializing Direct3D. Hardware acceleration may be disabled, please run DXDIAG.

Machine info: 1800MHz, 512MB, 256 ATI Radeon 9600 (0x4152)

(I am running HALO PC custom edition, but the same error appears for regular Halo PC.

WTF?!!

and yes i have ran DXDIAG everything is fine, i have tried the 3 latest drivers for my GFX card (including 3rd party omega software)

these are my sys specs:

AMD sempron 3100+
512mb RAM
256MB ATI Radeon 9600

I have ran these games without any problems what so ever:

Call of duty II
Path of Neo
Quake 4
NFS: Most wanted

all these games are new out and undoubtidly have a higher min req than Halo PC.

please try and help, this problem has been ongoing for allmost 1 1/2 years.

cheers, Luke.

Try this: http://www.tweakguides.com/ATICAT_1.html
There's a tweak page for Halo there also. Good Luck!

Run Halo's auto patching tool --> http://download.microsoft.com/download/4/4/0/440419e2-db95-455c-8871-54b1cd89ad07/haloupdate.exe

See if the latest version of Halo fixes anything.
