liteon read problems

I recently had to re-boot my computer. Prior to I copied all my drivers and files to a dvd via my liteon dvd burner. I re-booted my computer, used the dvd to copy all my drivers and music files back to my computer. However, now, a few weeks later, I put the dvd back into my computer to upload all my photos and my computer will not read the dvd. It shows up blank in file explorer, yet when I view the disk information it shows the files there, ask to finalize, but won't finalize. I tried it on someone else's computer, running windows xp and my computer doesn't show any files.... how can we read these disks??
