need help setting up a new internet connection

i bought a used laptop and had loads of other problems. but now it is up and running. it does not have internet service on it and i don't know how to get my internet service onto it. any ideas?

Call you ISP up and ask for tech support. That is where I would start.

I'm assuming you have another system with an ISP? If so, you could get a switch/router and network them, either wired or wireless. My ISP (Cox) charges only $4.95 mo. more for a second access. :)
