I recently began getting the above message when I (from the desktop) right click -> NVIDIA Display -> Gateway Analog Display. I've updated the driver (81.98), and I've tried disabling NVCPL in msconfig startup, but I still get the error message. When I click OK, everything runs fine, but the error is annoying. How can I get rid of this? I can't seem to find any info on it.

Thanks,
John

Edit: I removed the nvidia display driver (using the control panel, which i probably should have done in the first place) and re-installed the driver and it seems to be OK now. I thought I could just re-install the driver without removing first.

With graphics cards its always advisable to uninstall the driver first, doing so can save a lot of hassle.

For example, i have fitted upgraded graphics cards to my and other peoples pc's and i always boot up with the old card, uninstall the driver, then shut down and THEN change the card and install the new driver.
