Mini.dmp - What's my problem?

Unfathomable

Hello, I've read alot here, but I've just now registered.

It seems im not the only one with problems as far as seemingly random computer restarts.

I've got a few mini.dmp files here, and I'm wondering if anyone could help me diagnose the specific problem.

I've updated WinXP completely, I've replaced my RAM (two days ago), I've also replaced my Video card (GeForce 6600 w/ 256mb) (also 2 days ago), and I still have the problem.

I've also reset my page file via instructions on the Sticky Thread.

Computer Specs:
WinXP
Intel P4 3.2 (NOT OC'd)
1GB PC3200 RAM (2 - 512's)
120GB HDD
GeForce 6600 with 256mb
SoundBlaster Live 5.1

I'll attach the mini.dmp files in a Zipped package. (3 of them so far. I will attach more as they come.)

One thing I've noticed, it happens more frequently when im playing Call of Duty and Enemy Territory. Maybe I'm wrong...

But anyhow, help would be greately appreciated.

-Matt

your mindumps point to 3 things, memory corruption, IP conflict, and a soundcard driver....

remove all your hardware. Reseat with just the basics - memory, video, motherboard.
reboot. Then add your other cards one by one and reboot after adding.
you might find your problem then.
Ensure your sound card is not conflicting with integrated sound. turn integrated sound and video off in BIOS.
check memory with memtest86+ booted from a floppy.
ensure your memory is a brand and type accepted by the motherboard. RTFM.

When you say memory corruption, are you refering to RAM?

and IP conflict...?

Thanks for the speedy help,
Matt

EDIT:
I've attached another mini.dmp file Located in the zipped package.

Note:
I've also disabled my onboard LAN device. Perhaps that may be the cause of the IP conflict?
On Board Sound Card - Disabled
I Adjusted my AGP aperature size from 128 to 256 to match my vid card specs.

Anything else?

Hello and welcome to Techspot.

1 minidump crashes with memory corruption.

1 minidump crashes with hardware.

1 minidump crashes at win32k.sys. This is the Windows Multi-User Win32 Driver.

1 minidump crashes at sysaudio.sys. This is the Windows System Audio WDM Filter.

Your bugchecks are 8E/50/BE.

0x0000008E: KERNEL_MODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED

A kernel mode program generated an exception which the error handler didn’t catch. These are nearly always hardware compatibility issues (which sometimes means a driver issue or a need for a BIOS upgrade).

0x00000050: PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA

Requested data was not in memory. An invalid system memory address was referenced. Defective memory (including main memory, L2 RAM cache, video RAM) or incompatible software (including remote control and antivirus software) might cause this Stop message, as may other hardware problems (e.g., incorrect SCSI termination or a flawed PCI card).

0x000000BE: ATTEMPTED_WRITE_TO_READONLY_MEMORY

A driver attempted to write to read-only memory. Commonly occurs after installing a faulty device driver, system service, or firmware. If a driver file is named in the error message, try to correct the problem by disabling, removing, or rolling back the driver.

It may be that you have a ram problem.

Go HERE and follow the instructions carefully.

See, The thing is, I've just replaced my RAM. 2 days ago.
I have no SCSI drives

One question: Trend Micro Internet Security... are there any known issues regarding my problem?

Thanks again for the responses. Keep 'em coming.

There`s nothing in your minidumps that would suggest a problem with Trend.

Just because you`ve replaced your ram, doesn`t mean it`s not a ram problem.

There are different kinds of ram. Physical ram/virtual ram(page file)/l2 cache ram of the cpu/video ram.

Is the ram compatible with your mobo?

Follow the instructions in the link I gave you.

Try swapping your ram to a different dim slot.

Try running your system with just one stick of ram.

Check that your psu is putting out enough power for your system.

Regards Howard :)

-Thanks. I just wanted to make sure. I've read that anti-virus software can play a note or two on a PC.

-If I've just replaced it with RAM that is compatible with my mobo, then...?

There are different kinds of ram. Physical ram/virtual ram(page file)/l2 cache ram of the cpu/video ram.
-I've replaced my vid card as well. And I matched the AGP settings in my BIOS.

Is the ram compatible with your mobo?
-Yes

Try swapping your ram to a different dim slot.
-Since I've disabled all the extra onboard nonsense, I haven't had any problems.

Try running your system with just one stick of ram.
-Check, however there were no problems with 2 sticks. (after i disabled on board sound, lan, and I set the AGP aperture settings to match my card.)

Check that your psu is putting out enough power for your system.
-I have a 500watt power supply.

--Thanks a load for all of your help. So far, I haven't run into any more problems and my PC is running smoothly.
