I received a D600 laptop from my boyfriend's brother. This lap belonged to my boyfriend who died a few months ago. Since it was slow I took it to a friend for a check up. It was working but slow. After a few weeks he said that it was a junk that it do not came up. I took it back and asked a tech he says that the only thing it needs is a password for the bios or something like that. we checked with Dell but they said that they would not give any information to anybody who's not the original buyer. I hope someone can help me with this. Thanks in advance.

i have no interest in cracking open the case. if that's what i have to do, i'd much rather pay $39.99 and get someone who knows what they are doing to do it.

Thanks for some of your suggestions but so far nothing worked. It is still a paper weight.
I am new here and keep hearing about some super person called Rustam, I sure wish he could give me some ideas. It is kind of sad to have this laptop which is in such great condition go to waste.
Can someone tell me where to look for the real service code? All I found was the express.
If my effort is futile with no hope using the laptop please let me know.
Thanks all

Only ADMIN pass Enabled. But enabling HD Pass... the string for the protection ends with: -595B
In order to changing booting sequence.
Thanks in advance.

I said nothing about a Password generator, as only rustam has one that will work with the -595B passwords, other than the Dell company itself, and if Dell would help, there would be no need of this thread.

The best way is to get help from DELL. I did evertything by chat, explained them my situation and gave my info so that they can register under my name, they generated the backdoor password and voila!!!! of course if ur system is a stole one, forget it!.

I just bought a dell inspiron 4150 with service taq F4TNV11 in not working condition from ebay, but I already fix the mainboard but there is password on the bios, and after I did a lot of research I found that the dell 4150 didn't use the 24c04 chip but 24U04 chip, the problem is I couldn't find out the data sheet of this pin layout, does anybody know which pin from this chip that need to short each other? OR I am wrong with the the chip?
is anybody can give me a full description about this?
Thanks.

Silly silly me bought a laptop second hand Dell Latitude c610 from a newspaper add. I paid the laptop in advance and when I received the laptop it bios protected. OK. It is probably not a very fancy laptop but I don’t much money because I am sick and not working. There for this humble mail to you.
