can someone plz tell me how would a person know if their graphic card is damaged?

I've been having problems with my display and i don't know if its my gfx or not. My screen shows all these checkered textures and i cant play a single game without experiencing texture/color problems.

I did an artifact scan using "ATI TOOL" and i saw that in the 3D display that the 'cube' had all these yellow checkered squares on them (LINK BELOW)

DL a new video driver for your card

uninstall your current one

install the new video driver

and upgrade your DirectX
