lately my slim ps2 hasnt been working... i dont know exactly why i didnt do any physical dAmage to it, but it wont start up. i put in the disk close it, it makes its usually sounds then it starts making this weird noise likes it scracthing it or somthing. it wont read the disks and i dont feel like going to get it repaired is there anything i can do

Have you inserted the disk correctly?

You have to insert the disk VERY VERY carefully in the slim PS2.

I really hope that the laser isnīt damaged....

yah i make sure i put the disk carefully....but i think that there is something wron with the laser, where is the laser usually located beside the spin tray where u put the disk or at the back?

the laser is in the back of the system. You may need to adjust the laser. With the normal ps2, you have to open it, and located just above the laser, is a white knob.Rotate the knob 2-3 notches. Do remember that this will viod any warrenty.
