Yahoo may be interested in acquiring Overture (http://news.com.com/2009-1088_3-984352.html?tag=lh). That would be somewhat of a logical step for competing head to head with Google itself and their ad-words service, just a rumour for now.

Patching applications (http://www.vnunet.com/News/1140555) is the most costly security job that companies face, according to Microsoft's head of security.

Both Hewlett-Packard and Dell have recently set more aggressive plans to expand their research and development teams in Taiwan, outsourcing (http://www.digitimes.com/NewsShow/Article.asp?datePublish=2003/05/01&pages=04&seq=20) for saving costs, that is.

Now, onto a strictly miscellaneous note, I found this handy utility over at Majorgeeks that will let you create a Windows XP startup disk (floppy), you can download here for Pro (http://www.majorgeeks.com/article.php?sid=1040&cat=8) and Home (http://www.majorgeeks.com/article.php?sid=1039&cat=8) versions of the OS.
