AMD announced (http://www.eetimes.com/semi/news/OEG20030506S0015) today that their latest Athlon MP 32-bit CPU has been redesigned with a processing core that features a larger secondary cache than previous Athlon MP processors.
AMD has yet to disclose the real clock frequency of the latest Athlon MP and the size of the L2 cache, in any case the PR rating designated is 2800+ and the CPU will be priced at $275.

Update: Thanks to user comments below, AMD has posted full specs (http://www.amd.com/us-en/Corporate/VirtualPressRoom/0,,51_104_543_544~70599,00.html) of the MP 2800+ on its website. BTW, this has got to be one of the most silent product launches lately, with Opteron getting most of the press for the high-end workstation market, MPs will be left as a more low-end choice.
