i was just wondering......knoppix is a cd bootable version of linux right? so can you use programs from ur hard drive or how would that happen? and in order to use knoppix u can just download it, burn it onto a cd then reboot from the cd?

...so can you use programs from ur hard drive or how would that happen? it is possible, but the programs would have to be Linux binaries and not Windows.

Yes, download the image, burn it to a CD, the boot from it. Your windows partitions will be displayed on the desktop when u boot up.
