san disk cruzer

I purchased a san disk cruzer 1.0 gb. It works fine on my wife's computer but my computer will not recognize it. When I plug into the USB slot the unit lites up but when I go to "my computer" there is nothing showing at all and the screen is frozen. If I put the unit in when I have my computer on the sreen it will not show that the cruzer is plugged in. I hope I am clear enough. Any thoughts on why it does not boot up in my computer and does so in my wife"s. Thank you

Open up disk management while it's plugged in and make sure it's not using a drive letter that's already in use.

my cruzer came with the U3 operating system on it. i activated it so it takes a little bit for it to come on. then it'll pop up in the taskbar a minute later. kinda handy, with my Tbird mail on there. no worries about the internet cops at work.

ALSO, you can turn that U3 feature off so it comes on quicker---like my Kingston thumb drive. hope that helps....
