Finding out When internet disconnects.

Because I'm in a workplace environment.. I like to lock windows by using winkey-L. However, my internet connection is always disconnecting and reconnecting, and when I go back to my desktop.. a balloon on my system tray shows "Local Area Connection is Now Connected". So I dont know when my actual connection actually disconnected. Are there any programs out there that can determine when a connection was disconnected and reconnected? That would be great.

Regards,

Alex

I believe you can tell the most network adapters to write link state info to the WIndows event viewer.

Your problem is most likely Windows turning off the network adapter to save power (or the NIC doing it by itself). See the adapter properties in Device Manager.
