Microsoft said Friday that it is halting development of future Macintosh versions of its Internet Explorer (http://news.com.com/2100-1045_3-1017126.html?tag=fd_top) browser, citing competition from Apple Computer's Safari browser.
LinuxToday is reporting news and a response about Brazil making Open Source mandatory (http://linuxtoday.com/news_story.php3?ltsn=2003-06-13-009-26-OS-LL-PB) for 80% of all computers in state institutions and businesses (spotted at /.).
