AMD demonstrated their Thoroughbred and Hammer in CEBIT. Here's a blurp:

AMD benefitted from CeBIT to officially announce the next evolution of the Athlon processor known under the name of Thoroughbred code.
The principal innovation of this processor is its smoothness of engraving in 0,13 micron which enables him to release less heat and thus to make it possible to reach higher frequencies. Visually celà results in a reduction of the size of the core.
This new processor should arrive as of the end of the month, at the beginning of April at the latest on the market.
We could photograph Thoroughbred 2800+ beside Athlon XP in 0,18 micron what enables you to distinguish the difference in size from the core.

CeBIT is an IT tradeshow that takes place yearly in Hannover, Germany.

In related post,
Got News? > Thoroughbred out on the 20th of March
http://www.3dspotlight.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=376 we guessed the processor would come out of AMD's Dresden, Germany plant.

CeBIT 2002 On-Site Report: Day One
March 14, 2002 By Ron Anderson

Nobody can write about a first trip to CeBIT without commenting on the utter size of the show, so let's get that out of the way. It's big. How big? Last year, there were about 850,000 attendees. Since this was only the first day, it's hard to tell if they'll get that number this year -- and I decided not to try to count the attendees myself.

The thing is, it doesn't feel like there are that many people because the facility is so large, 27 exhibit halls spread out over what must be 53 square miles

The size of the press contingent rivals the numbers of some of the larger American trade shows. I know that because I had to fight with each and every one of them to get a connection to the Internet to file this report.
