XP Pro Recycle oddity...

My XP Pro recycle bin, automatically deletes everything.

Yes, I checked the properties to ensure that the box for one-step deletion was unchecked, so it should act properly as an interim storage dump until called upon to completely delete.

I have developed a work-around, though it is a little cumbersome: I can drag-and-drop directly to the bin from a list window and it will save the file or folder. Otherwise, it's gone.

Any suggestions would be really appreciated.

Thanks,

Cre8tve1

I don`t know if this`ll help but it might. Look HERE (http://www.infocellar.com/winxp/Recycle-Bin-fixes.htm).

Thanks for the suggestions, Howard. They weren't really applicable to the anomaly I'm experiencing, and I do thank you for your kind assistance.

Ok, let`s see if this helps at all. Go HERE (http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm) and read the instructions at the top of the page. Scroll down the page to #64 and click in the righthand side column.

Regards Howard :)
