Go to Start>Run type regedit. Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER find Apple Computer Inc and delete the string. DO the same under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE. Then go to My Computer double click the C: drive>Program Files and find the folders:
Apple Software Update, Itunes and Quicktime and delete them. Restart the computer and download the latest Itunes. Do this only you have tried to uninstall Itunes through Add/Remove Programs in the Control Panel.
