I have already checked with ATI and they gave me version 6.14. However I ran a Steam test to see how well HL2 would run and they said I should have version 8.something. I have looked all over the net and can't find it. Please post the link, or just reply to say I have the most recent driver. Thanks.

6.12 is the latest catalyst driver bundle available as of today. I don't know anything about 8. something drivers from ATI.

might be thinking of directx 8, which is probably the minimum required to run HL2.

nope i have 9. it saud i should have driver 8. something. Maybe I'll post a pic of it.

If you want to take a screenshot that is fine. What we really need, and what you should have had in your first post was what the exact message was, as well as what driver version you are currently using.
