I need help with installing fedora 5 on my computer. when i try to install it on my computer, it won't reconize the cd in the drive when i try to start the installation. My cd is from the fedora 5 bible

Do you mean it wont boot from the CD? In that case you need to enable booting from CD in your bios. If your bios doesn't support booting from a CD, you will need to make a boot disk out of a USB drive (http://fedora.redhat.com/docs/fedora-install-guide-en/fc5/sn-preparing-media.html#sn-preparing-usb-media) or make a set of boot floppys (http://www.thisiscool.com/fcfloppy.htm).
