yesterday i attempted to post a bmp screenshot with paint, but received an error message. apparently my image was too many kb. how do i go about displaying an image on techspot? should i have made my image smaller, or would that have mattered? thanks, Ed James
Save it as a .jpg and it wil be up to 10x smaller.
You can then uoload it to the TS gallery and paste a link to it (it wont display on the page), or, you can get a free photobucket account and host it from there (it will display on the page then).

your first suggestion, do i name it .jpg when i file>save? Ed James
No, you click on the "save as type" and select JPEG.
I am talking about ms paint here but the same thing applies to many other paint programmes too.

i think i follow you rik. file>save as>save as type>JPEG>save is this correct? also i am going to research your other suggestions. if you could bounce back to my thread periodically i would be most grateful. unfortunately family matters need to be tended to. i will get back to you tonight or tomorrow. thanks, Ed James
