BIOS Hard drive boot problems

Hi,

I have just finished re-building one of my old computers.
With the following specs:

AMD Sempron 3000+ 64bit Chip (with included heatsink)
DFI Infinity nF4X motherboard
Nvidia ASUS 7300 GS PCI-E gfx card
Crucial PC-2700 RAM
Maxtor 20gb hard drive (IDE)

I built the computer with no problems at all.
When I first turned on the computer, an "INFINITY" logo appeared on the screen and nothing else hapened.
After several re-boots I decided to put in the motherboard CD.
This seemed to activate the BIOS (or something) as it then sprang into action and loaded the BIOS.
It then did something that I was not familiar with;
It loaded "NVidia Boot agent"

Verifying DMI Pool Data ..........
NVIDIA Boot Agent 212.0491
CLIENT MAC ADDR: 00 11 09 89 B9 2F GUID: FFFFFFFF-FFFF-FFFF-FFFF-FFFFFFFFFFFF
PXE-E53: No boot filename received

PXE-MOF: Exiting NVIDIA Boot Aent
DISK BOOT FAILURE, INSERT SYSTEM DISK AND PRESS ENTER

I ignored this, and reset. Putting an XP cd in the drive.
This then booted up with no problems,
I formatted the drive using the XP tool, and it then copied to setup files onto the hard drive.
It then did its usual reset.
Hoping to boot from the HD, I got that Nvidia error instead.

I assume this isnt a hardware problem, as I can boot into Ubuntu Linux Live and everything works fine.
I was also able to copy setup files onto the HD.

Im just not sure how to get it booting into the HD, after that NVidia problem.

Any help is appreciated, and I have all the information on the hardware to hand.

Thanks guys.
