I occasionally use BitComet to download some things. Lately everything I download with BitComet doesn't work. For example, when I open a text file downloaded with BitComet my text editor treats it like a hex file. Anybody have any ideas about this?

Change to a reliable download software. Why waste time on something that is unreliable when there are at least 20 good ones available.

try azureus or another client, maybe it will help. Change trackers maybe?
