Oh! What should I do?

My mother board got fried.So I changed the mother board and processor.When I tried to turn on the computer,it asked me to activate the windows.In activation window,my installation ID has only 2 digits in the last group.Can someone help me with that.PLEASE.It's e-machine.

Are you trying to register the Windows through a systerm restore cd or a fresh install? Are you using the cd on the computer case or cd case?

when you change the motherboard, windows thinks you are installing on a new computer. You must activate it by CALLING microsoft and get a new key. This is to prevent piracy. Windows is only licensed for 1 machine (1 motherboard) at a time.
