HI,
i have a pavilion ze4200 laptop, the batter for it died fully, so bought a new battery. The battery happens to be compatible and it is for the same model. But the computer seems to use the power from the new battery but does not recharge it. now the battery is at 0%, and im running on ac power. i tried putting in the old battery, it charges but it then dies out in 20 sec. so the power cord works fine. Any thoughts???

I had a Compaq Armada m700 that did the same thing. Bought new battery, wouldnt charge. Turned out that the connection to the battery inside the case was bad. Forget the technical name of the part. Repair shop charged $45 bucks to replace.

the batter is brand new...exact replica of the stock.
