What's been so interesting about the coming of the Internet and its establishment into our lives has been the depth of popular culture icons that it has created in such a short time.
For instance, here (http://www.usatoday.com/tech/webguide/internetlife/2003-08-28-net-fad-history_x.htm)'s a quick trip down memory lane, curtasy of USA TODAY (http://www.usatoday.com), where we relive the delights of "Hampster Dance", "The Dancing Baby", and "I kiss you!"
I am sure that that "Star Wars Kid (http://www.jedimaster.net/)" is going to make it into the pop culture history books as well, that's if he's not already the subject of someone's undergraduate sociology thesis, somewhere!
More here (http://www.usatoday.com/tech/webguide/internetlife/2003-08-28-net-sensations_x.htm), and here (http://www.usatoday.com/tech/webguide/internetlife/2003-08-28-net-fad-history_x.htm).
