Vista + Forceware?

When I upgraded to Vista Ultimate, Windows put in it's crappy, wrong driver for my e-GeForce 7900GS, claiming that I had the 512Mb version (which I don't ), and I have not been able to overclock with these as well. I downloaded the 32-Bit version for my 32-Bit Vista, and when I install them, my screen goes blank....no signal at all whatsoever. I have tried downloading it another time, and the same thing happened. I had to go into safe mode, which worked, and uninstalled the non-working drivers with the bad one :( . Can anyone explain a fix for this?

Have you tried this (http://downloads.guru3d.com/download.php?det=1611) version? Or just the WHQL from nVidia? I've been having issues with screen corruption when the cancel or allow pops up with everything except the default drivers Vista used for my 7800.
