General query about lview pro

Can anyone tell me about this "lview pro" I was told by a "friend" that it was cool but not much else, I have also tried to find info. here, but to no avail.
I know how trying it is for you to put up with me, but I don't want to ruin my brand new laptop. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It won`t ruin your laptop.It`s been around for years.
I use Gimp (http://www.gimp.org/) for images.It`s free and does everyhting I need.
Bit complicated though.
