Why does bitcomet not continue the download after resuming?

Hi,

I use bitcomet, and I was downloading something, was about 90% done, with 2 hours to go, but I needed to use only one of the files, so I went to properties, and selected the one I needed, in the hope that once that was done I could use it whilst the other files continued...

Annoyingly enough, after the download was complete, I noticed that the other files were only 0.1% done... THATS ABOUT 8GB GONE!

Why the heck does it do this, and where do the files go?:s

In total downloaded, it says the total is much bigger than the entire download!!

You need downloading software, such as Alligator, or one of 9 others, and be sure it works with your browser... some work only with Internet Explorer.
What you report is what usually happens when connected to most sites.
