My pc is and old p3 and it doesnt support booting. i cant change the bios setting to make it boot from a cd-rom drive because the stettings have been locked by dell. SuSE linux can only be installed by a bootable cd rom. is there anyway that i can get a special floppy or some thing to install linux on a non bootable pc?

SuSE, like any other Linux distribution can be installed by booting from a floppy. The needed floppy image and writing software can be found on the first CD or on SuSE website for network based install.
