Hello there

now its taken me three days to reinstall windows and get everything back to normal

yay!!

unfortunately normal, seems to mean that things are already going wrong.

does anybody else have a problem, or similar with Windows Media Player?

I've got this problem where if I lower the volume using the controls in media player, and then skip the track, the volume goes back up to 100%

its not that big a deal, just fecking irritating!

anyone else had this problem?

like I said this used to happen before I reformatted and reinstalled everything.

Hi,

I don't seem to experience that problem. Perhaps you need to update your Windows Media Player? (Latest one's 11)

In any case, perhaps you could just adjust your main volume through the tray volume controls ;)

Yours,
Momok =)

I don't have any problems with WMP either, maybe because I dont use it and hate it. An alternative, which I think you may prefer over WMP, is WinAmp.

Disable or remove, then reinstall your sound drivers, then upgrade to Media Player 11. Your problem will usually disappear.

this is a completely clean install of Windows, and I've upgraded to WMP11
