Although current early batches of Athlon64 FX processors are said to have limited room for overclockability using standard air cooling, it becomes quite a different story when you equip your case with a small freezer, much a la Kryotech.

Ace's Hardware did just that, pushing Athlon64 FX's core to a rock solid 2.8GHz using $1000 worth of cooling equipment, the nVENTIV Mach II consists of a 24 cm (9.45") high "compressor" box. Of course, the benchmarks is what we want to see.
 
Agreed, the interesting part of the story is the scalability shown by Athlon64 FX.
