Recover data from 'blank' DVD

Hello all,

I recently encountered a problem. A burned DVD I made containing some valuable information does not work. Whenever I enter the DVD into my drive, the computer treats it as a blank dvd. However, when I run Cheetah DVD burner, it says that my dvd has 1 gig (out of 4 possible) free. This might mean that the data is still there, but not readable.

I was wondering if you all have some suggestion for recovery software (preferably free). I tried Isobuster and CD Check to no avail.

Thanks

You need to finalize the disk.. What software did you use to burn the disk?

Cheetah DVD Burner
It doesn't have a finalize button--and the DVDs worked before, just not now.
