Hi everyone , when i start avg anti-rootkit ,for a moment it starts up but when i click start scan my computer switches off and restarts , its done it everytime since i installed avg and has never worked, iv un-installed and re-installed but with the same outcome! All other AVG programs are working fine! anyone know how to sort this? thanks john. :)

Did you disconnect from the internet when you tried to scan?

Also try running it in safemode to see if it restarts then

no i was still connected to internet! do i have to be disconnected?

will try in safe mode later on :)
