hi - i was wondering if the computer will recgonize more than one gig of ram?

I am about to upgrade my ram and would like the max. Everywhere online says it will take 1024 total but I was hoping it would take more. Anyone try it?

Also, would you suggest 2x512 or 1x1gb if it is limited to 1gig. If it isn't, I will do 2x1gb.
