Hi all.
it's been quite a while since my various thread about acer laptops...
Firstly i wanna apologize if the thread is not suppose to be made here.
it's quite confusing for me whether to create at mobile / other / mobo section. ;)

Getting to the point, now here i'm back again with different problem on acer laptop which i have never seen before. The problem is that all USB ports in the laptop do not work and when the computer is booted, there's a beep saying :
ERROR,
USB over current on HC/Port - Bus:00H Dev:1DH Fun:01H / Port 00H

Intel Chipset driver have been installed again, but there's no difference.
The problem arise all of a sudden when computer is working in room envinronment. There's no visible physical damage to the computer though...

Before i forgot, the specs are:
Intel Core Duo 1.66GHZ
ATI X1400 HM
DVD-RW drive
1GB DDR2
80GB HDD

Any suggestion or help would be greatly appreciated and thank you... :)

If under warranty, contact the source for RMA.

If not,you may need to check for shorting internal USB wires or shorted motherboard circuits (could be due to dirt, etc).

I've heard of people getting that alert and USB still working.
