ravisunny2 08-10-2007, 02:22 PM When you’re really hot and thirsty, would would you like most ? ravisunny2 08-11-2007, 01:37 AM Plain old water has a clear lead. Ad 08-11-2007, 01:37 AM twite 08-11-2007, 05:06 PM You forgot Whiskey. ;) TimeParadoX 08-11-2007, 05:44 PM I would drink Water or Tea, which ever comes 1st :) cfitzarl 08-12-2007, 01:05 AM Either a soft drink, or Iced Tea :D ! ravisunny2 08-12-2007, 03:14 AM You forgot Whiskey. No, I didn't forget. I was hoping to evoke such a response. BTW, some folks prefer hot tea. TimeParadoX 08-14-2007, 11:23 AM I like sugar in my tea Ravi :D hamas123 08-14-2007, 12:11 PM i'll have some h20 or a cup of nice coool tea...Unless i'm in the mood for the good old coke:D. Ad 08-14-2007, 12:11 PM ravisunny2 08-14-2007, 02:44 PM I like sugar in my tea Ravi I too like sugar. I also add milk/creamer. AlbertLionheart 08-14-2007, 03:18 PM nice cuppa char - but then I'm a Brit ravisunny2 08-14-2007, 03:24 PM Did you mean chaa ? Close enough, I guess. TimeParadoX 08-14-2007, 05:06 PM I too like sugar. I also add milk/creamer. Does milk taste good with Tea? AlbertLionheart 08-15-2007, 03:33 AM Chaa it is then - trust the Brits to take a word from someone else's language and then misspell it. But best taken without any milk or sugar - just kills the taste. ravisunny2 08-15-2007, 03:40 AM Does milk taste good with Tea? Yes, but then it's an acquired taste. Dabears 08-15-2007, 03:42 AM Cokes the drink for me AlbertLionheart 08-15-2007, 03:45 AM Sorry - to clear any confusion Tea = char/chaa as drunk in the UK. As in 'a nice cuppa char' For some more info on this and biscuits (not as in USA biscuits) visit http://www.nicecupofteaandasitdown.com/ talking of which, time for tea! Ad 08-15-2007, 03:45 AM hamas123 08-15-2007, 10:09 AM but only put a tiny bit of milk in your tea like 20ml or something. i like sugar in my tea aswell:D i say chaa at home cus i speak urdu and english at home. and oh yea,i like that site's address because it says:nicecupofteaandasitdown when the tea is light brown then that means you put the right amount so pour the milk in slowly and like always if you dont like the flavour then you dont have to add the milk next time. SNGX1275 08-15-2007, 11:36 PM I drink hot and cold tea. Get most of what I drink from www.adagio.com , good teas, reasonable prices. I bought some samples of green and black teas, have about 18 varieties right now. All real teas, not infused with any flower buds and other crap. ravisunny2 08-16-2007, 03:17 PM Nice site, SNGX. majorblenks 08-30-2007, 10:05 AM Tea is good. two sugars and a splash of milk to take the bitter edge off! On a hot day though, id go for a frosty beer - super chilled, mmm! nickslick74 08-30-2007, 10:19 AM Mmm, beeeer! halo71 08-30-2007, 11:48 AM Nothing beats a really cold beer after coming in out of the hot sun! I mean on the verge of freezing cold. :D majorblenks 08-30-2007, 01:30 PM hell yeah!! AlbertLionheart 08-30-2007, 02:08 PM You have never tried a pint of 50/50 Theakestones Old Peculiar mixed with Theakestones Best Bitter then, have you? Not for the faint hearted but a Torkshireman's pint often known as 'Standard' in Richmond up North. cfitzarl 09-02-2007, 12:52 AM Not all of us here can drink though ;) . (or don't want to) magiclight 09-15-2007, 04:02 PM H2o Ftw!!!! captaincranky 09-15-2007, 05:13 PM 1. When I'm about to pass out it's gotta be fruit punch 2. When that can is empty, ice tea. 3. For other semi-emergency situations, I'm a coker, been addicted for years. 4. Birch Beer (PA Dutch brand), should be served with all baked bean and pork dishes! supersmashbrada 09-15-2007, 05:39 PM I would like to think that the majority of us at TS are decently smarty by starndard. So I could see why h2o or a cool softdrink are the more popular choices. We're probably A) Health consciouse people in the least OR B) just gotten use to sittin or our bums at the computer, and what would do us more joy than to sip of a coke/pepsi while at work on the pc. TimeParadoX 09-15-2007, 05:47 PM H20 is alot better then crappy Coke / Pepsi Supersmash :D magiclight 11-30-2007, 08:35 AM although i posted above h20 im now starting to drink more coke, so depends on my mood now jargon 12-07-2007, 10:56 PM iced tea is one good thirst relief .. hamas123 12-14-2007, 12:53 PM Yes, it normally depends on the mood ;). I drink plain old cool h20 most of the time though... samjohnson 12-14-2007, 01:15 PM When I am really thirsty I prefer nice ice cold water. Or if there is DR. Peper sitting around I will have that. Flash19 02-03-2008, 05:33 AM Who drinks milkshake when they're hot??? captaincranky 02-03-2008, 04:46 PM Ice cold beer's quite a head rush after running around in the hot sun for an hour or two. Sort of like compressing half a Saturday night into 15 minutes. M0R0NI 02-04-2008, 11:06 AM Its plain old water for me! Obi-Wan Jerkobi 03-16-2008, 07:36 PM H20 FTW!!! H20 is what your thirst calls for, don't try any other substitute. (I have at least 10 bottles of water on my desk per summer day.) :P lonerider 04-18-2008, 06:44 PM plain ol' H2O if i was dead thirsty....otherwise beer!!! ravisunny2 04-19-2008, 02:22 AM A cold beer is the best in some situations. So I went to my favorite watering hole yesterday, and a got a rude shock. It was closed. It had slipped my mind that yesterday was a religious holiday. I don't recall any 'dry' days in the US. captaincranky 04-23-2008, 07:43 PM True enough, we have become godless heathens. Although, there still might be a couple of dry towns, down at the Jersey shore. ravisunny2 04-24-2008, 03:34 AM True enough, we have become godless heathens. Where did that come from, Cap ? Each to his/her own. We have several religions here. And that's good. But a dry day on a religious holiday is a bit of a problem, because there are too many religious holidays here. Rage_3K_Moiz 04-24-2008, 05:41 AM Chilled milkshake for me. Preferably banana. :) captaincranky 04-24-2008, 12:11 PM Chilled milkshake for me. Preferably banana. :) I was thinkin' it might be IV fluids for summer in Dubai. Where did that come from, Cap ?. The US is a capitalist society, which in most states means that "Blue Laws" have been repealed. So, we don't stop for religious holidays. OK, maybe Christmas day,a little. Our ideal is the "separation of church and state". What we've actually acheived is the "separation of church and enterprise". Since church attendance is way down, and everybody's at the mall on Sunday, "godless heathens" is a tad of a hyperbole, but far from innacurate. "Praise the Lord and pass the Budweiser", might illuminate the hypocracy of it all. Basically, if you want to abstain from alchohol, the state isn't going to help prop up your character, it's incumbent upon the individual. And good luck with that, religious holidays are "inconvenient". Hey, you said so yourself: But a dry day on a religious holiday is a bit of a problem, because there are too many religious holidays here. ravisunny2 04-24-2008, 02:06 PM "Praise the Lord and pass the Budweiser" I'll go along with that ! Rage_3K_Moiz 04-24-2008, 03:21 PM I was thinkin' it might be IV fluids for summer in Dubai. LOL captaincranky, I think I might have to try that this summer. ;) |
