Well I was unable to rescue the hard drive from my friends laptop.
I replaced it with a new one and installed xp.
As he recons that all of the drivers were on a partition on the broken hd I am having trouble getting the sound card and video and wireless. other than that all works a treat.
I spent a couple of hours hunting for drivers and even tried a site driversguide.com that promised the drivers but after filling in silly advert forms I finally gave up.

Any Ideas where to look?

Cheers

You could start here... Tiny is out of business

This video driver doesn't work? It looks like the motherboard has a VIA chipset. Try to find old generic VIA drivers
